After seven acres of grass and good times, most dogs could use a thorough bath. That’s why Barking Springs offers basic grooming services to all boarding and daycare guests.
Boarding for a week? Sign up at check-in. We’ll have your pup freshly bathed and ready when you return from your trip. Here for the day? Tell us what you’d like at drop-off and we’ll take care of it while you’re at work. Either way, your dog goes home clean.

Looking for a Full Groom?
Barking Springs handles baths and basic maintenance, but we don’t offer haircuts or breed-specific styling on the ranch. For that, we’ll send you to our partner facility.
Midtown Groom & Board has served Austin pets and their people since 1970 and has a full staff of highly trained, experienced groomers who can deliver whatever cut you have in mind. Full grooming there includes a bath, brush-out, nail trim, ear cleaning, and anal gland expression if desired.

Dog Grooming FAQ
How do I add grooming to my dog's stay?
Book online when making your reservation, or just let us know at check-in. For boarding guests, we’ll schedule the service so your dog is clean and ready by pickup time. For daycare guests, we’ll take care of it during the day.
Do you offer haircuts?
Not at the ranch. We offer baths, Furminator treatments, nail trims, and ear and eye cleaning. For haircuts and breed-specific styling, we regularly refer clients to our partner Midtown Groom & Board in central Austin.
Is grooming available to dogs who aren't boarding or in daycare?
Our basic grooming services are offered as an add-on to boarding and daycare visits. If your dog needs grooming on its own, Midtown Groom & Board can help.
Why does bath pricing vary?
Size and coat type make a real difference in how long a bath takes. A short-coated small dog is a very different job from a large double-coated one, so we price in a range rather than charging everyone the same.
