Welcome to Barking Springs Dog Ranch. Since 2010, we’ve given Austin-area dogs something most boarding facilities can’t: seven acres of cross-fenced Texas countryside to run, play, and simply be themselves. We’re located in Del Valle, just eight miles east of Austin-Bergstrom International Airport — close enough for a quick drop-off on your way out of town, far enough to leave the noise of the city behind.
Your Dog’s First Day Is on Us
Every new social dog gets a complimentary evaluation day — a full day of daycare, free of charge, so your pup can meet the pack, and you can see the ranch for yourself.
Non-social dogs are welcome, too.
Our non-social boarding and daycare program requires no evaluation day at all.
Dog Boarding
Open 365 days a year. Your dog spends the day running the ranch on seven acres of off-leash play yards, then settles into a private, climate-controlled suite for the night. Off-leash play is included with every stay at no extra charge.
Doggy Daycare
Morning play, a midday rest in our climate-controlled dens, then back out for an afternoon on the ranch. Your dog comes home genuinely tired in the best way. Available Monday through Saturday.
Basic Grooming
Pick up a fresh-smelling pup! Baths, nail trims, Furminator treatments, and ear and eye cleaning are available to all boarding and daycare guests — just ask at check-in.
Non-Social Boarding & Daycare
Not every dog craves a crowd. Our non-social program gives dogs their own spacious suite and separate yards, with multiple trips outdoors every day. No evaluation day required, and dogs of all breeds, sizes, and temperaments are welcome.

Dogs need space. That’s the whole idea behind Barking Springs, and it’s what sets us apart from facilities closer to town. While other options keep dogs in small runs for most of the day, our guests spend their time outdoors on open acreage with room to stretch their legs.
Here, you’ll find a peaceful country setting, spacious play areas, a trained staff who knows every dog by name, and a team member who lives right here on the property. Add after-hours drop-off and pickup for travelers, and it’s easy to see why Austin families keep coming back.
